Virginia Grace (Hoffman) Gourlie, age 89 of Oconomowoc/Hartland, peacefully entered eternal life on December 23, 2014. Ginny was born on Oct. 14, 1925. She married her sweetheart, James K. Gourlie on December 27, 1946. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2002. Also preceding her in death were parents, Grace (DeGarmo) and Walter Hoffman, brothers Arthur and Lawrence Hoffman, sister Lucille Budzynski, and sisters-in-law Pat Hoffman and Vi Hoffman. She is survived by brother, Harold Hoffman, brother-in-law Frances Budzynski; children Dianne (Paul) Mollinger, Linda (Bob) Stellick, Dennis (Dawn) Gourlie; grandchildren Laura (Chris) Chase, Matt Mollinger, Berta Stellick (Kathy Ziegert), Erica Stellick (Jason Woods), Tim Stellick, Peter Gourlie, Jennifer (Jordan) Klos; and great grandchildren Emily and Ryan Chase, Connor Klos, Zoey Stellick, and Connor Woods. Ginny worked at Hartland Savings and Loan (later Hopkins S & L). She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Hartland volunteering as a Sunday school teacher and a deaconess. She was a longtime member of Hartland Women’s Club and Hartland Homemakers. She served on the Dela-Hart Sewer and Water Commission for 12 years. Ginny's warmth, kindness, love and generosity will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to extend special thanks to Vitas Hospice and Shorehaven staff for their genuine love and care. A private celebration of Ginny's life was held in the Shorehaven Chapel, Oconomowoc. Memorials may be made in Ginny’s name to The American Heart Association or Shorehaven Lutheran Homes.
