Virginia "Gina" Mae Cooke

Virginia “Gina” Mae Cooke, age 100 of Oconomowoc, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023. Virginia was born in Oconomowoc on June 23, 1923 to Frank and Dorothy Haack.

Gina is survived by her loving son Craig (Sandra) Cooke and her grandchildren Tim (Nina) Cooke and Melissa (Erik) Benson. Her great-grandchildren Elliott and Olive Cooke and Zia and Avy Benson along with her many friends.

Gina was preceded in death by her parents, The love of her life Rex, a brother Donald Haack and sisters Jane Lufler and Eleanor Morris.

Gina was a very active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc. She was a member of the woman’s circle and a Sunday school teacher for over 25 years. Gina and Rex loved playing cards with their many friends. She had weekly happy hours at Draper Hall before moving to Wilkinson Woods. At the “Woods” she enjoyed playing bingo and visiting with her friends. She will be deeply missed by all.

Private services are being held for the family. Memorials are suggested to Tricia’s Troops or the Food Pantry in Gina’s honor.
