Walter G. Schoenike, 91, of Dousman, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Walter is survived by his daughters Jane (Jack) Schoenike Takemoto and Kay (Patrick) Meisenheimer, son Thomas Schoenike, grandsons Michael (Noelle) Aspnes, Samuel Aspnes, Daniel Aspnes, Blake (Angela) Meisenheimer and Brent Meisenheimer, great-grandson Joseph Meisenheimer, brother Donald (Marilyn) Schoenike and sister Beatrice Pieper. Also survived by longtime companion Margaret Neitzel and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his wife Hazel and son Steven Schoenike, brother Harold Schoenike and sister Bernice VanAlstine. Walter served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII and participated in a recent Honor Flight. He was employed by Navistar and Payne & Dolan. Walter was a longtime member of Dr. Martin Luther Church in Oconomowoc, Waukesha Elks Club and Kettle Moraine Golf Club. Funeral services for Walter will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 7:30 PM. Visitation for family and friends will take place from 5:30 PM until the time of the service. Burial and Military Honors will take place at LaBelle Cemetery in Oconomowoc on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Seasons Hospice, 3217 Fiddlers Creek, Waukesha, WI 53188.
