Age 81, of Oconomowoc, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012. Walter is survived by his daughter Marcie Worm of Oconomowoc and son Joel (Julia) Watson of Oconomowoc, brothers Jim (Jan) Watson, Robert Watson and Kenneth (Janice) Watson, sister Dorothy (Bud) Grulke, grandchildren Melissa and Melanie Watson and Mitchell Worm, along with other relatives and friends. Walter was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, June Watson, sisters Annabelle Hein and Barbara Schuett, parents James and Florence Watson, parents-in-law Franklin and Grace Dehne and brother-in-law Robert Davis. Funeral services for Walter will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 818 W. Wisconsin Ave, Oconomowoc at 1:30 p.m. Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Walter will be laid to rest at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Matthew's Organ Fund. Walter was a graduate from Oconomowoc High School, class of 1949, where he enjoyed playing sports. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne. He then had a bulk milk truck route before working for Harley Davidson for over 20 years before retiring. Walter enjoyed hunting in his earlier years. His true enjoyment was spending time with his family. Walter will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
