Warden George Oleson

Warden George Oleson, age 56 of Germantown, found peace after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. He was born on May 6, 1966 in Oconomowoc.

Best friend and loving husband to Jennifer, with whom he shared 33 years together. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Violet Oleson; also beloved sister, Nancy Jones. Warden further survived by sisters, Beverly (Don, deceased) Legg, Georgia (Don) Schindel, and Barbara (John) Bettinger; brothers-in-law, Al Jones, and Jason Sarah; his nephew, Craig; his niece, Madison “Golden Girl”; and many other family and friends.

Warden worked at MetalTek. He was an exceptionally hard worker his whole life. Hobbies included darts, pool, golf, deer hunting, and watching Braves and Brewers baseball. Warden was a member of the Moose Lodge in Germantown, where he is known as “Wookie”. He is famous there for his grilling skills and long stories. If you knew Wookie, you loved him. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

Deep gratitude for all the care and compassion from Dr. Mandana Kamgar, Mary Beth and a wonderful nursing staff at the Froedtert Center for Advanced Care.

There will be a Celebration of Life, on Saturday, February 11th at 1:00 p.m., at the Moose Lodge, W198 N10217 Appleton Avenue in Germantown, WI 53022.
