Wayne Arthur Pinnow

Wayne Arthur Pinnow, age 80, of Johnson Creek, WI passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Wayne is survived by his sister Evlyn, his children Donald (Kimberly), Catherine Froelich, Vickie (Darrin) Holcomb, Scott (Josie), Shelley (Larry) Gard; his grandchildren Tiffany (Alex), Christopher, Angela, Nicole (Scott), Sarah (Izzy), Nathan (Alyssa), Zach (Kari), Adam (Megan), Evilyn, Owen, Aubrey (Matthew), Caleb, and Carlie; his 18 great-grandchildren; and many more loving family members and friends near and far. Wayne is preceded in death by his loving wife, Judy, and brother Kenneth. Wayne was a man of service. He devoted his life to his family, faith, and community.

Wayne was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s ELCA Church. He served as a US Army Radioman in Wurzburg, West Germany, from 1960 - 1964. He retired from General Motors of Janesville after 33 years, where he was granted several recognition awards throughout his tenure. As retirement did not fit Wayne’s energetic personality, he went on to serve as the financial officer for the ELCA Lutheran Synod Office in Madison for several years. In addition to his work life, Wayne volunteered for (and often led) any organization he belonged to including Boy Scouts of America, Rome Youth Park and Recreation, Sullivan School PTA, St. Luke’s ELCA Church, American Legion, Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, and Three Pillars Senior Living Community.

Services for Wayne will be held at St. Luke’s ELCA Church (W1956 Main St, Sullivan, WI 53178) on Saturday, January 7th, 2023. A memorial visitation will be held from 10 am until 11:50 am with the service starting at 12 pm. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of The View of Johnson Creek, Prohealth Care, and Pastor Marilyn Lange for the loving care shown to Wayne and his family throughout this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke’s ELCA Church.
