William "Bill" Mcsorley

Bill McSorley, 72 years old, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, March 9th, 2023 at Aurora Medical Center.

Bill was the first born child to Harry and Eunice McSorley in Elkhorn, WI. He spent his younger years in Delavan before moving to Wauwatosa.

Bill attended Long Fellow Jr High and Wauwatosa West High School, class of ‘68. He enjoyed golf, basketball, football, photography, and music. He shared this love with his two sons and they watched as much sports together as they could. He had a deep passion for waterskiing and started a ski and equipment store with a friend in 1979 called Competition Sports. They took their business to the Chicago Sports Show and the Milwaukee Boat Show that same year and even did business with Bruce Jenner. He joined the Waterbugs Waterski Club in 1980 and was the show announcer. He was on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Water Ski Federation, but his greatest joy was his three children. He enjoyed coaching their sports, and volunteering at both Summit Elementary and Oconomowoc Middle School.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Matthew, Kevin and Kelsey. His sister, Vicki and her husband, Dave Krystowiak, their two children Jeff and Abbey with husband Matt and great niece, Sloane. His brother in law, Jay Bascom, and cousins will also be left to cherish his memory. He was proceeded in death by his sister, Mary Sue, both of his parents, along with his aunts and uncles. Bill had lots of friends and was a great conversationalist.

Bill touched many people beyond his family. We were blessed with the gift of having him in our lives. A heartfelt thank you to each and every person who has reached out to offer their support, condolences and prayers for our family. We feel everyone of them. God bless!

A visitation will take place on Monday, March 13, 2023 at St. Jerome Catholic Church (995 S. Silver Lake Street, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 12:00pm-1:00pm with a Prayer Service to follow.
