William C. Schuenke. Bill was born on September 14, 1947, and died peacefully surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren on June 25, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Constance Schuenke, his three dear children, Stacy Godfrey (Richard), Scott Schuenke (Kristina), Kelly Pamperin (Mark). Papa is also survived by his greatest blessing in life, his grandchildren, Tyler, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Daniela, Cecilia, Noah, and Gaige (Maddie). His caring sister, Eileen Millard (Wally), his favorite mother-in-law, Carlene Bogenberger, as well as many close family and friends will miss him. Bill was preceded in death by his special mother, Ethel Curro and his first friend and brother, Dennis Schuenke. Bill served his country when he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he rose to the rank of Sergeant in 1970. Following his honorable discharge, he started an electrical apprenticeship ultimately becoming a Master Electrician. In 1977, he and Dennis founded Banner, Sign and Lighting, LLC. The brothers grew the business into a leading lighting company servicing and designing signs, including neon, for movie theaters, restaurants, car dealerships and shopping malls. Bill loved his large family and many friends and was always willing to offer help when needed. His big personality, caring nature, and sense of humor were his most admirable traits to those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Enjoying spending time outdoors, he loved tennis, golf, camping, fishing, skiing, and introducing his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to his pastimes. In retirement he enjoyed traveling and visiting several international destinations, but the family vacations were the most special. “Bill, peace be with you!” Connie A Memorial Visitation will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 East Summit Avenue, Oconomowoc, on Thursday, July 8, 2021, 3pm to 6pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 6pm. Military honors will follow the service. Our family would like to thank the medical staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care. Memorial donations in Bill’s name can be sent to Hebron Housing Services in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
