William D. Lyons

William (Bill) Duane Lyons Age 91, of Oconomowoc, passed away on May 22, 2019, just three days short of his 92nd birthday. Bill was preceded in death by Delores (née Philumalee), his loving wife of 63 years. Bill and Dee are survived by their three children, Sandra Schuett, Cynthia Terrill (Bill), and Ron Lyons (Ellen). Grandchildren: Dawn Szajna (Lisa Daujotas) and Tim (Kristen) Szajna. Matthew Willert (Angelica), Jamie O’Marrah (Harold). Andrew Lyons (Amalia), Amber Lyons, Ashley Kuehl (Dan). Great Grandchildren: Darian Szajna (Clint), Kristian, Peyton, and Tenley Szajna. Enzo and Maya Willert. Brayden, Brielle and, Nolan O’Marrah. Weston and ‘one more on the way’ Lyons. Great Great Grandchild: Aubrey Szajna. Along with several step-grandchildren and step- great grandchildren. Bill is further survived by his sister Irene Seston (late Dean). Sisters-in-law: Ione McManus and Carol VanDeusen (Ross) along with nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Bill was born in Stoughton, WI to Claude and Dorothy (née Manson) Lyons. Raised on a family dairy farm in Oregon, WI. Proudly served in the Navy during WWII. Started with the Standard Oil Company in 1963 and later established Lyons Oil Co., Inc. in Hartland/Oconomowoc, WI, and eventually retired in 1984. Even though Bill and Dee retired in 1984, they never slowed down, staying active in family, church, and community. In his youth he was an avid sportsman, Bill and Dee continued the lifestyle through retirement enjoying travel, golf and fishing, while spending time with friends and family. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at The View at Pine Ridge and Ascera Care Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Bill. Services for Bill will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with a visitation for family and friends starting at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Oconomowoc.
