William L. Horner (Bill), age 74 with a personality larger than life, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc surrounded by the love of his family. Bill is survived by his loving wife Diana (nee Lynn), three children, Wendy (Brian Meye), Jason (Ania), and Jennifer as well as four grandchildren, Rachel, Miles, Jack and Abby. Bill was born August 26th, 1942 and spent his early childhood in the Milwaukee area before moving to Colby where he met and later married the love of his life. Bill and Diana shared a blessed fifty three years of marriage. He will be lovingly remembered for his silly antics, outrageous and unpredictable sense of humor and quick wit. Bill was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Parkside where he was very active in student government. He enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, snowmobiling, scuba diving and piloting his small aircraft in his earlier years and found great joy in fishing with his grandson Miles in his later years after retiring from UMOS. A celebration of Bill's life will be held from 12noon to 2pm on Friday, May 26th at the Golden Mast Inn, W349 N5293 Lacy's Lane, Okauchee, WI 53069. The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to the medical professionals at Oconomowoc and Pewaukee Cancer Centers, Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and AngelsGrace Hospice for their care, compassion and dedication. Memorial's are suggested in Bill's honor to ProHealth Cancer Center or AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
