Grief - A Physical Experience

Jun 29, 2024 01:00 PM to Jun 29, 2024 05:00 PM

Grief is a ahealthy response to the experience of loss. When you are grieving, your body often lets you know it feels distressed too. The mind/body connection in grief is profoundly strong. Your body is very wise, and your body never lies. Your body is a trustworthy source of wisdom and guidance.

Our bodies often slow us down and invite us to authentically mourn the losses that touch our lives. Our bodies carry hidden knowledge about what we need during this time of grief. Our bodies are always calling out for our attention.

In this half day retreat participants will learn to slow down, walk slowly and embrace the practices of personal guardianship. Kathy will share with you several mind-body practices to soothe your body, calm your mind, and tend to your heart. Together, we will also explore ten self-compassionate principles to carry with you on your journey through grief.

It is important to remember, when we grieve, our bodies also grieve!

Grief Circle

Jul 10, 2024 12:00 PM to Dec 31, 2024 07:00 PM

Grief Circle: Come as you are

The death of someone you love changes your life forever and can be a long and painful journey.

Grief circles are a supportive and nourishing space to connect with your grief, share your story

and experience grief in community. While every loss is unique, having the support of others who

have experienced loss can be comforting. New ideas can emerge by listening to others. Grief

circles are ancient. For thousands of years, across different cultures and continents, people have

been coming together in circle to share in life’s joy and pain. Grief circles often make a significant difference in helping a person channel grief toward a new wholeness. Our Grief

Circle will remind you that you are not alone.
